""Yin As Applies to Practicing & Teaching Vinyasa Yoga""

Yin is a profound, internal practiceleading to profound, internal understanding.

One of the great aspects of the Yin practice is that it gives us a beautiful experiential understanding of how our practice differs depending on our unique bones and skeleton. We will now go beyond the Yin practice and delve deeply into our anatomy possibilities, identifying exactly how all these differences actually play out with our yoga postures and thus affect our daily dynamic yoga experience.

Course intention: LOWER BODY FOCUS. This course will be for current teachers and yoga students who have a committed yoga practice. It will cover in detail The Lower Body as a Focus with minor upper body illustrations for further understanding.

As a platform, we will be developing knowledge of the Yin practice, with an experiential understanding of how it applies to each of our unique tissues and body structure (Laws of Tension and Compression). To achieve this we will be analysing our joints and bones, one by one, next to each other in 'Range of Motion' comparisons. This will give a systematic insight that empowers experiential practicing and teaching asana, whatever the style of yoga, with greater wisdom and function than any standardized or formulaic approach.

Students will be further guided to take the skeletal variation knowledge and then to apply it to the postures of the Vinyasa practice, drawing further conclusions of an individuals 'tension and compression' reality. Students will be equipped and then refined to now review their own practice and teaching applying a more intuitive approach following a functional format, bringing practitioners back to interiorizing, the true essence of the practice.

Come with an open mind and a courageous heart.
