  • Meditation
  • Each morning we will sit and develop our practical knowledge and application of Meditation. Theory and philosophy of these techniques will be covered in lecture sessions, however the practical discoveries & phenomena will be experienced in our morning sit. They will be guided with segmented instructions. Expect meditation techniques based on all levels of awareness as a foundation of your learning.

    • Yin Practice

The morning Yin practices will be related to two aspects. These will be the physical anatomy of the thigh & pelvis mandala as well as the philosophies of Ayurveda. The practices will also include a range of methodologies that will enable students to teach a skillful and organized Yin class. Expect to be given a range of Yin skills appropriate for a strong teaching foundation such as pose options, wall variations and intelligent use of props and bolsters. Our Yin experiences will focus on deepening the practitioners knowledge and experience with insightful interpretation of what is actually happening on all layers of the body.

    • Yin Methodology

These discussions will be based on analyzing the basic poses of Yin particularly related to anatomy. A detailed understanding of Skeletal Variation and Range of Motion will be deconstructed with how they affect each different student. The Yin methodology of function over form and target area approach will be fully explored. Expect to understand for the first time how bones really play a role in an asana practice and how then to teach and adjust more insightfully with this knowledge. We will also understand how Yin yoga is essentially different from a dynamic (Yang) practice, with discussions and webinars of connective tissue (fascia), its constituents and how it responds to the practice.

The Yoga People Teacher Training Program

Dear Yogi, please know that this training is part of our 500 Hours Yoga Alliance Programs, 200 Hours Foundation and 300 Hours Advanced.

If you are looking for a 200 Hours Foundation Course, we recommend combining this program with our 100 Hours Ashtanga Vinyasa Foundation, based on Traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series. This combination will give you a Yin/Yang structural awareness, not only in the physical body, but also in terms of the “energetic/pranic bodies”.

If your aim is to collect the 300 Hours of continued education towards a 500 credential, this course can be taken in any particular order in conjunction with our modular system.
