Upon completion of hours, students will receive a 50-hour TYP Yin and Chakras Training Certification, which contributes to your Yoga Alliance, registered RYT 500 accreditation.
Course Overview
This course is a flagship healing experience as part of TYP’s upper-level experiences
Led by Yoga Teacher & Transpersonal Psychologist Jamie Clarke & Psychotherapist Lois Pimentel
You will be guided through an exciting, yet challenging, Yin Yoga & Chakra healing experience
Organised in two parts, 4 and 3 days sections
This transformational experience focuses on Yin Yoga, Tantric Chakra Philosophy and Transpersonal Psychology
Expect breakthrough & integration exercises
Learning Outcomes: Yin Yoga: Teaching / Practicing (Chakra Methodology & Chakra Meditation), Transpersonal Psychology: Chakra Balancing & Healing
You will learn theory & methods towards balancing the archetypes of the Chakras, and dive deeply into transpersonal psychology
Yin Yoga & Functional Anatomy
You will practice Yin Yoga with extended archetypal Chakra practices
You will learn skills and techniques to practice & teach Yin skilfully, creatively and safely, through a Chakra healing system
Expect daily applied anatomy workshops (focus on skeletal segment and structural analysis)
Chakra Philosophy
You will follow in-depth lectures will unpack the roots, expression and wisdom of the Chakras
You will learn how to recognise Chakra imbalances and restore them back to wholeness
Expect somatic discovery of your personal Chakra blueprint through the Yin practice experience.
As part of lectures and inclusive partner work, you will feel and understand how Chakras and their imbalances develop in early life
You will dive deeply into the archetypes of the Chakras, and what is over-compensated or diminished in our personalities and interpersonal dynamics
Transpersonal Psychology
Western Transpersonal Psychology of today is rooted in ancient Eastern systems (ie Chakras)
The contemporary approach of Transpersonal Psychotherapy incorporates the Chakra model, which provides a structure for the healing journey
You will discover insights and breakthroughs in your healing process, through Chakra experiences, meditations, personal inquiry, and partner work, led by Lois and Jamie
Expect to face the inherited themes & complexes as well as archetypal wounds and personality defences with gestalt/ partner work, shadow-work & core belief exercises
Requirements
2 years practice in Yin Yoga; Ideally from the Paul & Suzee Grilley lineage of teachers
Inner-work experience
Orientation towards yogic, healing and therapeutic practices and disciplines
TYP’s Live & On-Demand courses (Foundation, Advanced Level & Inner Work Level) recommended

Your teachers

Jamie Clarke
Jamie Clarke has been teaching Yoga since 2001. He is inspired by Yoga as a means of trauma resolution, psycho-emotional transformation, and actual-spiritual growth. He is an E-RYT 200/ 500 teacher and a co-founder of The Yoga People, RYS 200/500 since 2006 & 2009 respectively. He has a long-term background in Western Psychotherapy & Transpersonal Psychology, is a trained and licensed Transpersonal Psychology counsellor, with an established client-centric practice. He has a Masters degree in Psychology from the University of London. Yoga Background & Approach He is directly trained by Yoga masters; Larry Schultz – Ashtanga Vinyasa & Rocket, Lino Miele -Mysore Ashtanga, Paul and Suzee Grilley – Yin Yoga & Applied Anatomy and Edward Clark – Tripsichore. He is master teacher of skeletal/bio-mechanic Applied Anatomy (1000+ hrs training), has led approximately 100 live teacher trainings delivering to 2,500+ teachers worldwide. His teaching approach recognises uniqueness, using a customised ‘functional’ approach to separate-out the conditioned, integrate the authentic and to develop the fullest expression of oneself as honestly as possible.

Lois Pimentel
Lois Pimentel is a skilled and insightful psychotherapist and healer (NFSH qualified), with over 28 years of experience. Lois is certified in EMDR and EFT and has led courses on the chakra system for many years. She holds diplomas in psychotherapy (UKCP registered), NLP, Ericsonian hypnotherapy and Feng Shui. She has also travelled extensively, where she has studied past life regression with Roger Wooler and Shamanism. Lois has been an invaluable influence on The Yoga People and our teachings and we are delighted to welcome her as a guest teacher on our courses.

All TYP courses are rooted in the eastern traditions of Yoga, (Patanjali, Hatha, Vedanta & Tantra) as well as having significant influences of Shamanism and western Transpersonal Psychology. This means that a student’s lineage, background, childhood and early life parenting and conditioning can be investigated, as part of course practices and exercises.
